[FOWA 2009]: Introducing Atlas: A Visual Development Tool for creating Web Applications

Francisco Tomalsky, 280North

Now, this is the moment when Francisco officially will present yesterday’s Atlas. It’s cool stuff, I’m excited about it.

Let’s go!

  • When DVD came out, people knew it was better than VHS. But it needed time for the transition.
  • The web today is ready to do what people are doing on the desktop today.
  • Live Demo of Atlas – as said yesterday everything is very close to Apple SDKs and to Apple’s Objective-C language
  • Atlas already contains RSS/Facebook/Twitter controllers
  • Built an RSS reader in less than 5 minutes. Spontaneuos applause!
  • And now… tataaa! Same code, just build a desktop app. Works cross-platform.
  • Atlas was actually built in… Atlas.

Atlas Beta will be available on November 15 für $20.
Big applause, great stuff!
