[FOWA]: Building Desktop Caliber Web Applications with Objective-J and Cappuccino

I have no idea what this will be about… well, let’s see :)

VHS/DVD-Player as a metaphor for today’s webapps. You don’t really know which way to go: DVD or VHS? Webapp or Desktop App?
Real life example: do you need a dektop email client? why? you can live in the cloud. the world is ready for this transition.
Photoshop is possible on the web, Office is possible on the web. And exists.
Scale of complexity on the web: from static (NYTimes) to Amazon to Facebook to apps like GoogleMaps competing with the desktop.
Framework needed to build complex apps like GoogleMaps etc!

From 10′000 feet view all apps pretty much do the same: copy, paste, open, save, etc. That’s why Cappuccino calls you when needed instead of having you call libraries.
